Maple Hiatus!

Hello all,

Rock will be taking a break from Maple until Mid August to revise for her upcoming tests in early August, which she hasn't started doing so yet, so she is starting soon TOMORROW.

Rebalance Patch

Yesterday's updates were just the tip of the iceberg.

My brother found a little-known video in Youtube just now:





Rebalance patch is here to HELP us Adventurers, because the Legends and Knights are too powerful. :)

Rebalance patch?

Asiasoft Forums have been abuzzed with the latest topic: The Rebalance Patch in Korean MS.

One of the most talked-about parts in the patch: Bishop's Genesis. This spamming skill commonly used by many Bishops has been drastically revamped, according to the source.

The new gene (apparently):
Lv30: -600 MP, hits 15 enemies for 1300% damage. 30 second cooldown.

Which means, less MP needed to cast Gene, but. a cooldown. There have been many differing views on this topic, mostly against.

FOR: There will be less leechers. This is because with the cooldown, spamming can no longer be, well, spammed. And thus exp gained is less. (However EXP needed to level has been reduced drastically, with a cut of up to 33%.)

AGAINST: Cooldown? Also, if the supposed intention of this is to reduce the amount of leechers, it may have other consequences. Although many people will not be willing to leech now, with less leechers, spam service may be cheaper. This is because: how much exp can you gain if Gene is cast TWICE in 1 min? If spam service is cheaper, some people (who previously never considered getting spam service) may do so.

(NOTE: Other magicians' 4th job skills have not been discussed, I'm not too sure whether those will be 'revamped' like Gene as well, but I won't say no. In my opinion, it's likely that they'll revamp the F/P's Meteor and I/L's Blizzard as well, it's only fair.)

MOREOVER. PQs have been revamped. There are now no MAXIMUM level limits. Hence, Kerning PQ is open to all level 21s to 200s. Can you imagine what will happen?

FOR: Yay, I can relive my PQ days. :D Which also means that for PQs such as Lord Pirate, where you have to defeat the boss a certain amount of times to get the Hat, you can do so now. ALSO, the lower-levels may gain from this, because now there'll be a greater mixture and variety of people. Thus PQs can be done faster.

AGAINST: Level 200s probably will not go to KPQ, but the level 30s will, and these people will rob the level 20s of their PQ spots. Who wants to invite a lower-level when you can invite somebody who's higher-level?


Whether it's going to happen to MSEA, I don't think anybody's sure of that yet.

xXSinRickzXx reached 100!

Quite some time ago, but nonetheless,

CONGRATULATIONS xXSinRickzXx on achieving the much-coveted 3 digits :D LEVEL 100 :D

Of course, Rickz is level 105 now (gratz again (: )

Rickz is our 3rd home-grown plant Mapler, if you count me lar :D

Rickz was introduced to us by wyte last year, in our first ever Maple Race (speaking of the Race, silent and I are organising another one at the end of this year).

Since then, Rickz has been an invaluable addition to our guild, bringing cheers and joy with funny jokes and faces :D

So today, I wish to consolidate my thanks and express my gratitude - on behalf of the entire guild - to Rickz, for being such a fun person to be with. :)

Thank you Rickz; MSNoobSterZ looks forward to your 4th Job advancement. :)

Apparently Resistance came out very recently in Maple Korea, the videos on Youtube are about a week old only.

It's the equivalent of the archer class. :]

And I have no idea what Battle Mage is :P seems like another form of Mage ._."

Oh whatever, we'll know once MSEA releases :)

I know many people are looking forward to Dual Blader, for their uber high 7-hit-100k damage, hehe.
