Friday, December 26, 2008 @ 12:02 PM Letters to my 1st GuildMaster To my first GuildMaster, Greetings, and a belated Merry Christmas and early Happy New Year to you, too. One year has passed, and so much has changed. I must admit that I was extremely angry and upset - Angry and upset at YOU - when you kicked me out of my first guild, whose name I shall not disclose here. But "was", as I have just stated, is a matter of the past, for now I no longer feel anger or upset whenever your guildname or our name appears; the latter had taught me one of the most important and life-changing principles in running a good guild. Being one of the lowest levels in your guild was not the only reason why I was so quiet - so subdued - but also the fact that you appeared to speak to everyone but me. Maybe, just maybe, if I had been invited by YOU, maybe things may be much different. But I believe I was invited purely through a simple mistake - one which caused everyone, if I remember rightly, to be Jr Masters. Perhaps it was also my low level of participation in guild. In the end I did level fast enough (the criteria for the lowest ranked member, the BBS said, was level 40, if I remember correctly), but surprise awaited me when I logged in one day and discovered that I had been kicked out, probably by YOU. (Note that this is based on assumption, and it may not be entirely true that it was YOU who kicked me out. But even if it is not you, it still taught me a valuable lesson. Kudos to the person who kicked me out! :D [To my readers out there, if you are wondering "why is this silly girl so happy she got kicked out of guild??", then please, read on, and discover the reason behind it]) I was infuriated and very mad at you. I was a rather loyal (self-proclaimed) but quiet member of guild, and I leveled quite decently. What gave you the right to kick me? I believed, at that moment, that I had met the criteria. It was not until half a year later and a few incidents did I change my mind. I am now a GuildMaster of another guild (and I am very very happy with all of you members! :D), and about 3 months ago, I kicked 2 members out of guild. They were not rude or anything, nor did they break any rules. It was just that I felt that they were not participating enough. One of them did complain and called me noob, but I suppose that was something all GuildMasters have to face sooner or later. Only then did it all link together. I know why you kicked me out of guild. It was for exactly the same reason why you kicked me. You felt that I had not enough participation in guild. Being a GuildMaster is not always about being complimented; it also includes receiving negative feedback. Things can get nasty, but, for the good and for the improvement of the guild, sometimes, what has to be done has to be done. My respect for you has increased, and I know now, that you kicked me out of guild with good intentions in mind. Many thanks to you, Megacan, for teaching me an important lesson in guild. P.S. If you are reading this now, I will like to say a big THANK YOU! for inviting me in guild last time. Ohya I will like to say this to you too: GRAHH YOU DAO ME THAT DAY! I saw you in Henesys, and I PM-ed you. Then you never reply de. To you: hello To you: do you rmb me?(: ![]() Lols maybe you do not remember me le. (Of course you don't!) Well, just want to say... To you: anyways, thanks..for letting [me] be in your guild last time..byes ![]() Thanks for the memories(: Labels: My 10 Mesos' Worth ![]() |
